Welcome to the Design Centre. My name is Amy Verdone and I am your Design Consultant for Verdone Homes. As part of the consultation team, I help you bring to life the vision you have for your new home. I will help you chose a variety of finishes including cabinets, carpets, hardwood, tile and paint to name a few.
Selecting colours & finishes for your new home can seem overwhelming. So many things to choose! Brick, shingles, flooring, paint, cabinets, lighting — its a long list. With some preparation and inspiration, I can make this process much easier for you. Hopefully enjoyable as well! Its a great feeling to cross a lot off your to-do list and then be able to look forward to the end result with your own personal touches in place on your new home.
Where do you start?
My first advice is to visit supplier showrooms. They are a great resource for being able to see what is offered and really get a firm idea of the style you would like your home to have. Are you traditional? minimalist? Browsing installations of our samples can really help the creative process.

Don’t forget about the outside!
Choosing the exterior of your home sometimes lends a challenge. It can be hard to envision brick, shingles or siding on an entire house from sample sizes. My next advise is to have a drive around neighbouring subdivisions for ideas. Remember to consider, eaves troughs and garage door colours. Sometimes the biggest items get overlooked. What colour do you want your pillars painted? Front door? We’ll be picking those together. Feel free to bring in pictures from magazines or websites… or the ones you sneak on your phone. We won’t tell.
